Orange Cares Q3 - Playing It Forward: Supporting Young Athletes Through Every Kid Sports

For the Q3 OrangeCares Charity, we chose to support Every Kid Sports, a national nonprofit that helps kids from low-income families participate in organized sports by covering registration fees and removing financial barriers.

The organization was nominated by Jessica Lopez, one of our Territory Managers, who recognized the importance of giving all kids equal access to the teamwork, discipline, and confidence that sports build.

A Day Focused on Giving Back

To put our support into action, the Orange Aluminum team spent the day packing goodie bags for young athletes sponsored by Every Kid Sports. Each bag included water bottles, snacks, sports equipment, and handwritten notes of encouragement — small gestures meant to remind the kids that their community believes in them.

The event wasn’t about scale; it was about meaning. A chance for our team to do something tangible that carried encouragement, care, and enthusiasm — qualities that define who we are and how we work.

Why It Matters

Every Kid Sports helps kids experience the lessons that come from being part of a team — resilience, discipline, and connection. Supporting their work reminded us that community impact doesn’t always require big gestures; it starts with people who care enough to do something small, and do it well.

Continuing the Support

We’re proud to share that, with the help of our customers and partners, Orange Aluminum donated $3050 to Every Kid Sports.

This contribution helps fund scholarships and expand access to youth sports programs nationwide, ensuring more kids can develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork through athletic participation.
