Orange Cares Q3 - Playing It Forward: Supporting Young Athletes Through Every Kid Sports

Orange Aluminum donated $3,050 to Every Kid Sports through our Q3 2025 OrangeCares initiative, supporting the nonprofit’s work to help children from income-restricted families participate in youth sports.

Our team also packed goodie bags for young athletes supported by the organization. Each bag included water bottles, snacks, sports equipment, and handwritten notes of encouragement.

Together, the donation and team activity brought our support to life: helping address the cost of participation while reminding young athletes that their community is cheering them on.

How Every Kid Sports Helps Children Participate

Every Kid Sports is a national nonprofit that helps eligible families pay youth sports registration fees.

For families managing a limited budget, registration costs can stand between a child and the opportunity to join a team. Every Kid Sports addresses that barrier through financial assistance, helping more children access organized sports.

Its work supports opportunities to practice, learn new skills, meet teammates, and experience being part of a group working toward a shared goal.

Our $3,050 contribution supported this mission of making youth sports more accessible.

Why Our Team Selected Every Kid Sports

Jessica Lopez, one of our Territory Managers at the time of the initiative, nominated Every Kid Sports. She recognized the importance of giving children access to the teamwork, discipline, and confidence that sports can help develop.

Her nomination brought attention to the opportunities children can miss when the cost of registration puts participation out of reach.

Employee nominations help shape OrangeCares by connecting our giving with causes that matter to our team. For Q3 2025, Jessica’s recommendation gave us a shared focus: helping more young athletes get the chance to play.

Packing Goodie Bags for Young Athletes

Alongside the financial contribution, Orange Aluminum employees spent a day assembling goodie bags for young athletes sponsored by Every Kid Sports.

The bags combined practical items with personal encouragement:

• Water bottles.

• Snacks.

• Sports equipment.

• Handwritten notes from our team.

Writing those notes gave employees a chance to add something personal to each bag. The activity reflected the care, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm behind our company’s GRACED values.

A Contribution Made Possible by Customers and Teamwork

With support from our customers and partners, Orange Aluminum contributed $3,050 to Every Kid Sports. Our employees added their time and effort through the goodie-bag activity.
