OrangeCares: Q2 Recap — $4,037 Donated to UCLA’s Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health
Esophageal disease affects thousands of people every year, yet research and awareness often remain limited. For our Q2 OrangeCares initiative, Orange Aluminum chose to support the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health, a program dedicated to advancing treatment, research, and education for patients facing esophageal cancer and related conditions.
The organization was nominated by Vanessa, our Purchasing Manager, in memory of her grandfather, who passed away from esophageal cancer. Her nomination reminded our team that behind every diagnosis is a family, and that care can take many forms — from comfort to contribution.
Earlier this year, our team assembled and delivered comfort kits for patients receiving treatment at UCLA. Each included journals, puzzles, coloring books, and handwritten notes of encouragement — small, thoughtful items meant to offer calm and support during difficult moments.
Continuing the Support
We’re proud to share that, through OrangeCares and the continued support of our customers, Orange Aluminum donated $4,037 to the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health.
This contribution will help fund the Center’s research, patient care initiatives, and educational outreach, supporting their mission to improve treatment and provide compassionate, specialized care for those affected by esophageal diseases.
