Choosing a System
What sliding door hardware does Orange Aluminum sell?
Two product categories: hanging door tracks, which carry 3/4" closet, room, and partition doors from an overhead track, and slide tracks, which guide sliding cabinet and display case doors in a top and bottom track.
What is the difference between a hanging door track and a slide track?
A hanging door track carries the door's weight from above on roller hangers, so there is no floor track. A slide track has a header above and a base below; the panels sit in the base and the header keeps them aligned. Hanging door tracks suit full-size doors; slide tracks suit cabinet and display case doors.
Which one do I need?
For a closet door, room divider, office partition, or bifold door that is 3/4" thick, use a hanging door track. For sliding glass, acrylic, or wood doors on a cabinet, display case, or showcase, use a slide track.
Can I hang a bifold door?
Yes. Use the Closed Door Track with Closed Top Plates. The top plate is rated for bifold panels up to 50 lb each and multi-fold panels up to 30 lb each, with up to six panels folding one way. Hinges and pivot hardware are not included.

Installing and Cutting
How do hanging door tracks mount?
The track fastens overhead to the header or ceiling. Each track comes pre-drilled or with no holes, so you can drill where the framing is. The Single Apron Hanger has a threaded post that adjusts the door height.
How do you cut aluminum door track?
Use a miter saw with a carbide-tipped blade rated for non-ferrous metal, cut slowly, and deburr the cut edge. Wear eye protection.
