OrangeCares Initiative Recap: Supporting Action Youth America
This spring, Orange Aluminum partnered with Action Youth America (AYA) through our OrangeCares program to support local students and working families. Thanks to the incredible support of our customers and employees, we're proud to share the impact of this initiative—including the largest single donation in OrangeCares history.
Action Youth America provides students with a safe, encouraging environment beyond the classroom through homework assistance, enrichment activities, field trips, sports, and supervised after-school care. The organization also serves as a valuable resource for working families by providing dependable care that allows parents to balance work while knowing their children are in a positive environment.
Following our announcement of this quarter's partnership, Team Orange and our customers came together to make a meaningful impact for the organization and the families it serves.
Supporting Students, Families, and Our Community
Action Youth America provides affordable after-school programs that help students thrive both academically and personally. Through homework assistance, enrichment activities, sports, field trips, and supervised care, AYA creates a safe, encouraging environment where children can continue learning beyond the classroom while giving working families greater peace of mind.
After introducing this initiative earlier in the year, we're excited to look back on the impact we were able to make together.
A Record-Breaking Community Impact
Throughout the initiative, a portion of every Orange Aluminum purchase helped support Action Youth America and its mission to serve local families.
Thanks to the continued support of our customers, Orange Aluminum proudly donated $5,561 to Action Youth America—the largest single donation in OrangeCares history.
This milestone belongs to everyone who chose Orange Aluminum throughout the initiative. Every order helped make this contribution possible, allowing us to invest in an organization that provides dependable after-school care, educational opportunities, and enriching experiences for local students.
Team Orange Gives Back
In addition to the customer-funded donation, Team Orange assembled care packages for students participating in Action Youth America's Montebello program. The volunteer event gave our employees the opportunity to personally support the organization and connect with this quarter's mission.
An Employee-Nominated Organization
Action Youth America was nominated by Orange Aluminum Purchasing Manager Vanessa Aguilar, who has experienced firsthand the positive impact the organization has on working parents and their children.
