Orange Cares: Orange Aluminum’s Q3 Support for Every Kid Sports
A chance to join a team should start with a child’s interest—not whether their family can afford the registration fee.
For its Q3 charitable initiative, Orange Aluminum selected Every Kid Sports, a national nonprofit working to remove financial barriers to youth sports participation. The selection reflects the purpose of Orange Cares, our charitable giving program: supporting organizations that matter to our team and create opportunities in our communities.

Why Our Team Chose Every Kid Sports
This cause came to us through Jessica Lopez, one of Orange Aluminum’s Territory Managers. Jessica nominated Every Kid Sports after seeing how participation costs could keep children from joining a team.
As she shared when nominating the organization:
“I’ve met so many kids who wanted to join a team but couldn’t because their families couldn’t afford the registration fees. Sports teach teamwork, discipline, and confidence — no kid should miss out on that experience simply because of money.”
Her experience gave our team a clear reason to get involved. A registration fee can stand between a child and an entire season of practices, friendships, and opportunities to learn.
Through Orange Cares, employee nominations help connect our giving to causes with personal meaning. Jessica’s nomination brought the challenge of affordable youth sports into focus.
About Every Kid Sports
Every Kid Sports helps children from income-restricted families access organized sports by addressing the cost of participation.
Its work focuses on a practical barrier: paying to play. By helping eligible families with youth sports registration costs, the organization makes it possible for more children to take part.
For families, that support can open the door to experiences that extend beyond a single game. Joining a team offers opportunities to practice new skills, work toward a shared goal, and experience the encouragement of coaches and teammates.
That mission made Every Kid Sports a meaningful choice for our Q3 Orange Cares initiative.
How Orange Aluminum Gives Back Through Orange Cares
Orange Cares—also known as OrangeCares—is Orange Aluminum’s quarterly charitable giving program. We donate a portion of our sales to nonprofit organizations chosen by our team, connecting everyday business with causes our employees care about.
