Aluminum flat bar is rectangular bar stock used for brackets, spacers, mounting plates, and framing components that need a flat load-bearing surface. It's the usual choice over sheet or plate when a project calls for a narrow, thick strip rather than a wide panel. Stocked in 6061-T6 and 6063-T5 alloy, in mill finish, clear anodized, or black anodized, across standard 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, and 12 ft lengths — a range of widths and thicknesses covers everything from light bracket stock to heavier structural strap.

Shop Flat Bars

Hex Bars

Aluminum hex bar is solid stock with a hexagonal cross-section, used mainly in machining and fastener production where an across-flats grip surface is needed for wrenches or tooling. Stocked in 6061-T6 alloy, mill finish, in standard 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, and 12 ft lengths, in inch across-flats sizes from 1/8" to 1" and metric sizes of 6mm and 10mm, matching common fastener and tooling standards. Cut-to-length service is available for shops that only need a handful of blanks rather than a full bar.

Aluminum round bar is solid, cylindrical stock used for machined shafts, pins, spacers, and turned parts. It's the standard stock shape for CNC machining and lathe work that starts from a round cross-section rather than a square or flat blank. Stocked in 6061-T6 and 6063-T5 alloy, mill finish, in standard 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, and 12 ft lengths, with cut-to-length available for non-standard runs, in both inch diameters from 3/16" to 1" and metric diameters from 5mm to 15mm.

Aluminum half round bar is a solid profile with a flat back and rounded face, used for architectural trim, decorative edging, furniture and fixture details, and applications where a raised rounded profile is preferred over standard flat bar. Its flat mounting surface makes it easy to attach to panels, frames, and other surfaces while the half-round face provides a smooth, finished appearance. Stocked in 6061-T6 alloy in mill finish, in standard lengths, with cut-to-length available for non-standard runs, across multiple widths and profile sizes.

Square Bars

Aluminum square bar is solid stock with a flat-sided square cross-section, used for framing and machined components where flat mating surfaces matter more than a round profile. Stocked in 6061-T6 and 6063-T5 alloy, mill finish, in standard 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, and 12 ft lengths. 6061-T6 is the better choice for machined parts and higher-stress applications; 6063-T5 machines more easily and holds a cleaner finish where appearance matters as much as strength. Common sizes run from light framing stock up to heavier bar used in equipment bases and jig bodies.
