Our 8.5mm Keder Welt, also known as awning rope welt, keder strip, or keder cord, is designed to securely attach fabric panels, awnings, banners, and flexible enclosures to compatible aluminum keder rails and track systems. Constructed from heavy-duty woven polyester fabric welded around a solid PVC or polyethylene core, this flexible keder welt provides a durable connection for fabric mounting applications.
Featuring an 8.5mm diameter bead and a 0.750" (3/4") fabric tab, the welt can be sewn or otherwise incorporated into compatible fabric assemblies. The rounded bead slides into the channel of a properly sized keder rail, creating a secure, continuous attachment while allowing fabric panels to be installed, removed, or replaced as needed.
Compatible with our 90° and 180° Keder Rails, this keder strip is available in black and white. It is suitable for commercial awnings, marine canvas, outdoor enclosures, industrial curtains, tensioned fabric structures, and signage applications.
